Frequently Asked Questions

Our worth added administrations guarantee the progression of products proceeds consistently and supply chains stay lean and streamlined for progress.

Can I use my air conditioner to remove cooking smells & other odours from my home?

Yes, your CoolBreeze air conditioner has an exhaust function that allows you to remove odours such as cooking smells, pet smells, and generally freshen up the house even during the winter months.

Do I need to open doors & windows when using my air conditioner?

Our evaporative air conditioning systems work by exchanging all the air in the home every two minutes with fresh, filtered air from outside. This volume of air needs to be released outside, so windows or doors will need to be opened. Alternatively, an Air Relief Vent can be installed to alleviate air pressure in the roof space, adding the additional benefit of cooling your roof space.

Do CoolBreeze ECO pads give off an unusual smell?

No, the CoolBreeze ECO filter pads have been developed without the traditional smell that you may find in other filter pad brands and deliver fresh, clean, filtered air right from the first time you turn your unit on.

How much water will my CoolBreeze air conditioner use?

Water usage varies according to your use of the air conditioner and the relative humidity and temperature of the day. However, we can say that CoolBreeze maintains water quality and uses less water. To avoid a build-up of impurities, many air conditioners use a bleed-off system that uses 15-18 litres per hour (that’s 180 litres for 10 hours of use compared to less than 30 litres with the CoolBreeze Water Management System).

Why does water drain from the air conditioner every now and then?

As the air conditioner operates, it evaporates some water, leaving a higher density of minerals in the water inside the reservoir. If left to build, these minerals can be damaging to the filter pads in any evaporative system and will affect the efficiency and effectiveness of your air conditioner. CoolBreeze air conditioning units are designed to flush out these impurities and replace the high salinity water with fresh, clean water.

Why does water drain from the air conditioner when it is turned off?

Every time your CoolBreeze air conditioner is turned off, it completely drains all the water and impurities from the unit to ensure that no water is left. The next time you start your CoolBreeze unit, you can rest assured that it is using fresh, clean water. Other coolers often have water that has been sitting there for several days (or all winter), serving as a breeding ground for mosquitoes, bacteria, etc.

Can I use the water from the air conditioner on my garden?

The water drained from the unit will have increased salinity levels. Generally, this doesn’t present problems in the garden, but if in doubt, check with your local nursery for advice.

Do I have to cover my air conditioner during winter?

You may notice many air conditioners covered with bags and tarpaulins during the winter months. This is to reduce drafts and to prevent heat loss from the home. CoolBreeze offers an optional 4-Seasons Weather Seal that automatically closes off the unit every time it is turned off. There is no need to climb on the roof and cover the unit. Your CoolBreeze air conditioning system is ready to go at the press of a button.
